I love autumn.
I love the leaves.
I love when the leaves crunch under my step.
I love autumn walks.
I love wearing a warm coat on my walks.
I love the coffee cup in my hand.
I love the taste of warm oat milk and cinnamon.
I love the rain.
I love staring at the sky through my clear umbrella.
I love the sound of foxes playing in the night.
I love the smell of butternut soup.
I love it when my nose drips into my scarf when it’s a little too cold.
I love it when my nails are painted a deep red.
I love it when my lips are painted plumb.
I love wearing jumpers everywhere and at any time.
I love seeing the shops prepare for Halloween.
I love the thought of going to a Halloween party.
I love staying in on Halloween, chocolate in hand, ‘You’ve Got Mail’ in the background.
I love looking out my window and seeing deciduous trees quivering in the breeze.
I love it when mushy auburn leaves gather at the feet of the deciduous trees.
I love the family of mushrooms at the bottom of my garden.
I love how dark it gets after four o’clock.
I love the honey-toned glow from the streetlamps.
I love that in autumn, everything is a little more mysterious, a little more magical.
I love that in autumn, it feels like anything can happen.
Most of all, I love how autumn makes me feel – wholly, completely, and incandescently inspired.
