One day, a girl from northern England chose to devote her life to studying the greatest stories ever told. My name is Ellen, and I’ve long been a lover of all things reading, writing, and creativity. I’ve dreamt of pursuing a career in writing since I was old enough to grasp the nuances of the industry. Life, however, has taken me on some unexpected journeys since graduating from uni – from living with a family in a quaint northern Italian city to wandering the cobbled streets of Portugal. Through it all, I’ve somehow managed to amass an impressive collection of books – and, even more importantly, an enduring desire to document my experiences, thoughts, and the things that inspire me most.

WoaD has been taking shape in my mind for many years. Like me, it will always be a ‘work in progress.’ I like to think of WoaD as a digital journal – a virtual space where I can freely share my enthusiasm for books, learning, and life.
